Step 4: Finally attach the USB lead and copy scanned images to a PC for safe long term storage

I would advise buying the extra slide holders if you have a lot of slides. Picture quality could be better but that maybe down to the old slides. Also it kept saying card protected when trying to scan, I had to take the card out and reinsert for it to work. Really good product for the money, especially if you have a lot of slides!!!

Quick and easy to use
Delivery was very quick and I immediately set about scanning all my old slides. I had done about 400 when the scanner switched itself off and refused to start up again. I contacted Mysmartbuy and was dealt with by a very friendly and helpful young lady who advised me to return the scanner ( at no cost to myself ) and a replacement would be sent out. This I did and about a week later a new one arrived. I have now used this to scan several hundred slides with no problems. Firstly. The scanner has exceeded all my expectations. It is easy to use and much quicker than I expected. Bearing in mind the age of the slides being scanned, the quality is good. I feel that I must be well in pocket already compared to taking the slides to the shop to get them done. Secondly. I must say how pleased I was with the response and service I got from Mysmartbuy. You only really know how good the supplier is when something goes wrong and I have to say that they were 1st class. And no I don't work for the company.

Excellent quality, takes about 2 seconds per photo slide once mounted in the frame provided, frame holds 4 slides. Button provided to flip image if you accidentally mount slide upside down. Great way to get all those nostalgic slides onto your computer. I transferred over 2000 images from slides onto my PC over 3 days. Produces flawless images on 19 inch pc monitor and only slightly pixelated when hooked up to 40 inch TV via cable provided and some slides were 30 years old. Also works on digital photo frames.

The copier produces very good copies of slides, I have not tried it on film. I like the fact that you do not need to worry about compatibility with a computer. The manual is useless, so at first you have to persevere and just try the various combinations of buttons.

Excellent results, far better than I hope for. A large box of family holiday slides from the 60's is now safely stored on an SD card and memory stick. Veiwing now is so simple compared to the old days. Next job is an even bigger box of my own slides which have not been seen for years. I think that copying direct onto SD card is far simpler then using a computer as it is so easy to transfer to a laptop once scanned. Great value for money, 50 quid well spent. Thank you.
