Lopping out-of-reach branches needn’t be a chore, problem, or safety issue with this mains-powered 900watt 2-in-1 ‘tall’ and ‘short’ branch lopper from Eckman.

Its handle adjusts and locks to extend reach from an already impressive 6ft 1 ½” (1.87m) to a massive 8ft 11 ½” (2.73m) when using both extension poles and the angle adjustable and the angle-adjustable 12” long Oregon blade makes light work of slicing through 10” branches at 33ft per second.

No more balancing on step ladders or hiring in of costly professionals – do the job from the ground in half the time.

Additionally, detach the fibreglass extension poles and it becomes a highly effective short reach chainsaw for easily cutting logs and branches into shorter lengths for burning or taking to the tip.

The extendable chainsaw weighs just under 5kg with both poles fitted.

Pros: Easy to use, Cut through thicker branches than expected, Reached higher branches fairly easily

Cons: Slightly heavier than expected when the extensions were attached., slightly tricky to cut with the saw angled, but just needed a little practice.

All round, very pleased with this product. It will be very useful in clearing overhanging branches in the garden.

Pros: only chainsaw that can be both used extended and as a seperate chainsaw, although top heavy, i found the extra weight useful to cut through branches, very quick cutting

Although top heavy i found the extra weight useful when cutting through branches (easily through 8"), the chainsaw had no problems and went through very quickly. It is also the only chainsaw that can be used seperate as a conventional chainsaw so worked out nicely to cut the branches into logs. I initially had a problem with a missing part but this was very quickly dealt with by eckman and smartbuy and got the part out to me within 3 days. So to summarise a very good product thats well built with excellent customer service from eckman and smartbuy.
